Senators Jim Risch (R-ID) and Roger Wicker (R-MS)鈥攖he leading Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Senate Armed Services Committee, respectively鈥攔emain two of the most prominent and vocal proponents of US support for Ukraine鈥檚 defense and territorial sovereignty, making the clear case that this support is in the American national interest. Their resolute support for Ukraine predates Russia鈥檚 full-scale invasion. They the Biden administration to do more to deter Russia in the lead-up to Russia鈥檚 decision to invade last February, and continue to lead the to provide Ukraine with the weapons necessary for repelling the Russian forces and ending the war on Ukrainian terms.
