As threats in the Indo-Pacific continue to grow, the United States has sought to strengthen relationships with key allies in the region to bolster democracy and ensure peace and security. AUKUS鈥� the new trilateral security agreement between the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia鈥攚ill demonstrate the seriousness of that commitment by enabling the three powers to cooperate on a range of technologies crucial to national security, and by providing for Australia with nuclear-powered submarines and long-range strike weapons.
As the dust settles following the initial announcement of this landmark pact, what can we expect to see next?
