Join 华体会 Adjunct Fellow Joshua S. Block, nuclear weapons experts David Albright and Sarah Burkhard and CIA veteran Norman Roule for a discussion on prospects for Iranian nuclear proliferation amid attempts to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

In 2018, Israeli intelligence uncovered a trove of evidence indicating that Iran鈥檚 nuclear weapons work continued well past 2003, remains ongoing, and is much larger and more advanced than western intelligence and the Obama administration understood when the JCPOA was negotiated in 2015. For example, Iran鈥檚 鈥淎MAD鈥 nuclear weapons effort included nine nuclear weapons sites that were not previously known to intelligence services. As the White House pushes for a return to the nuclear deal, what does the now 7-year old agreement really provide in terms of security or stopping Iran from getting a bomb? In their new book, 鈥淚ran鈥檚 Perilous Pursuit of Nuclear Weapons,鈥 David Albright and Sarah Burkhard reveal new details about Iran鈥檚 nuclear weapons program from the 鈥淎tomic Archive鈥 discovered by Israel, and will weigh in on the implications of their findings for the revival of nuclear negotiations in this timely discussion at 华体会.
