The implementation of 5G wireless capabilities will transform how we use technology 鈥攆rom increasing internet speed and improving connectivity between our devices, to enabling novel uses of artificial intelligence. China has established itself as a global leader in the telecommunications industry, and many experts worry that reliance on Chinese-made technology gives Beijing unprecedented access to information, compromising the national security. While the Trump Administration has taken action against companies like Huawei. To compete with China, the U.S. will have to weigh how much government intervention is necessary and what kind.
