On January 29, 华体会 hosted a panel of experts to discuss the new report, Revitalizing Nuclear Security in an Era of Uncertainty, released by the Managing the Atom project at Harvard Kennedy School鈥檚 Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. The report evaluates the extent to which countries and international institutions are making progress in reducing the risk of nuclear terrorism.

International efforts to prevent nuclear terrorism have entered a new era. The global community continues to make progress to improve security for nuclear weapons and the materials needed to make them. However, momentum is slowing at a time when there is greater uncertainty about national and international commitment to these efforts. If improvements to nuclear security do not keep pace with evolving threats, the risk of nuclear terrorism is likely to grow.

华体会 would like to thank the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation for supporting our nuclear nonproliferation and security dialogues. Please follow our MacArthur Foundation work
